Abstract

In the present study four different test feeds such as F-I Spirulina, F-II-IR-20 Rice bran, F-III-Phyllanthus  niruri  and F-IV-Lactogen to obtain optimum growth rate and survival rate of the nauplii.  The results were tabulated clearly revealed that the growth rate and survival rate.  The test feeds were evaluated and under one set of experimental conditions.  Different efforts have been contributed to the elucidation of nutritive values of Artemia.  Further contributions were generating by its scientific relevance, i.e. its extensive use as a practical research object and human fascination for the “State of suspended animation†as an excellent adaptation to survive extreme habitat conditions. Signifies the economic importance in hatcheries were Artemia is the sole source of live feed with required nutritional values.  The feed Lactogen showed the maximum growth and survival rate (%) of the test feeds.  Maximum growth rate at monodiet culture of Lactogen 1437.6 µm in the concentration of 0.4 mg/ml/day was obtained more protein content in of the Lactogen feed would result in by increasing the length of Artemia nauplii.  The optimum of concentration of feed for the optimal growth and survival of Artemia parthenogenesis nauplii is 0.4 mg/ml/day.
